School Holidays - Week 1

What a busy and fun filled first week of school holidays!!

Sunday we met up with Tabs, Torrie, Tab's sister Casey and her boys at the botanic gardens for a play, somw lunch and a train ride.

 

Monday was Craig's RDO, so they boys headed to the movies to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Clay won Kermit on the claw machine and was so excited :)

Tuesday Nanny and Clay headed to the library to make a auncatcher windchime and then across to the art gallery for some art in the park. There was also a quick lunch date with Daddy.

Wednesday cousin Riley met up with Nanny and Clay in town to join them at the free movie - DC Super Pets.

Thursday was another library craft activity  - decorating a terracotta pot and then shopping with aunty I.  Clay brought his Halloween costume  - he likes being prepared LOL

Friday he went to the botanic gardens with DEAFinitely Connected to feed the animals and have a train ride. I had my RDO, so we chilled for the afternoon when he got home, while Craig headed to Brisbane overnight for his work's award night.

Saturday morning we had pancakes and did some cardmaking while we waited for Craig to fly home.  Craig brought Clay some Lego at the airport, so Clay built that immediately when Craig got home :) We went out to an Asian fusian restaurant for dinner to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary  - Clay crashed our date cause he didn't want to miss out on dumplings Bahahaha

Today was a slow day - cleaning the house, grocery shopping and Craig got ready to head away for work next week. We did bake a batch of cupcakes - guess who licked the bowl!?! LOL

Thrifty Thursday

Sunday morning Clay and I popped into an op shop before we met up with Tabs & Torrie for a playdate.

Cards

I got a chance to play in my scraproom on the weekend. Kristy asked me to make a card for her mum's birthday - design brief was purple, 70 & Granu - she loved the end result :)

My sister and her girlfriend got engaged a few weeks ago and I struggled to make them a card. I found the perfect card idea on Pintrest and CASEd it - so happy with it!

Everyday Moments

This term at DEAFinitely Connected the kids have been learning about food.

Craig with the flashing cup Clay brought him for Father's Day - "for his tequila " :) Craig was very relieved to know that Clay didn't tell people that when he brought it! Bahaha The lights are really bright and Craig joked about going blind LOL

Last Sunday we headed to Bunninga for a kid's workshop- to make a scarecrow. Clay was very proud of his creation. I'm impressed with how well he can use a hammer and put it all together :)

After a bit of a break due to a sore knee, I'm back at gym again. I forgot how much I actually enjoy it and I'm glad tp be back!

Thursday night we headed out for a work friend's goodbye dinner. It's nice catching up with people from work one social setting.

On Jake's last day we had pizza and donuts - these donuts are so freaking delicious!!

Thrifty Thursday

After the Bunnings workshop Sunday, Clay and I popped into a nearby op shop.

We scored this fantastic wooden postbox $3 - we are going to donate it to the kindy where Bethany works.
