Thrifty Thursday

Saturday was my birthday and the boys asked what I wanted to do .... op shop of course!! LOL

I did start off at a 2nd hand book shop that I had been wanting to visit for ages - they posted pics of the Australian authors they have in stock and there were some books I had been looking for!  I've started reading another Fiona McCallum book recently and realised it's part of a trilogy.  I could follow the story, but decided I wanted to read the first 2 books ...and the book shop had them for $9 each!   They are actually a book exchange, so I will go through my books and exchange a few.

After the book shop it was time to head to Bargara to hit the oppies!!  At the first shop Clay and I found books total $4.50.  Clay found another Funny Kid book, I found the Mickey book for crafting, the Elf book will be gifted at Xmas and the Sleeping Beauty book is for our Disney collection.

At the 2nd op shop I found a much coverted item from my wish list....an Esterwidler brooch for $4!! It's the Sugar Plum Fairy (2018 collection) - the gold wind up part from the side is broken off, but I dont mind.  I didn't even know it was Esterwilder until after I brought it and did a Google search!

Books $4 total (I love Vinnies 3 for $2 of kids books!)

Games $2 each - we were excited to find the Christmas game - we have the Taco, Pizza...game version and it's very popular :)

We headed back into town and one last op shop for my birthday fun and I started off with another book -$3!  This is the the prequal of the book I recently read.

Monday Craig and I both had RDO, so when he went into work to grab his jacket I popped into the op shop 3 doors down ;)  The volunteer that was sorting out the books said they get a lot of Rachel John books in - so I'm taking that as I sign will need to visit more regularly LOL

Display cases $1 each - I think these are the perfect size for the foam apples Kristy and I have from the Sphere Wizard of Oz.

Frame $2 - I have a picture ledge idea and this will be a great size!

Dress $5

Brand new set of cheese knives $4 - I LOVE this brand!  Kristy brought me a similar set for our camper and they are fantastic!!
