Watercolour Class - Floral Flamingo
While looking on Pintrest for some watercolour tutorials I found this floral flamingo and knew I HAD to paint it!! I just traced the flamingonfrom the original picture. It took 3 goes to get this done- first go I used the wrong shade of pink, then 2nd go the paint ran and I peeled the paper trying to wipe it off...third go was a charm LOL I will be framing this and hanging it in my scraproom:)

Watercolour Class - Elephant
This morning'swatercolour class theme from The Friday Gallery was elephants. I opted to do just one elephant on my page, but a few people did multiple ones and they looked super cute. I traced one of the pictures Hilary provided, then added a light pink base. I got so involved once I started I forgot to take photos until I was half way through lol This painting was a little different than last week's as we outlined and added shading detail with a fine liner pen (classing it as mixed media).

Thrifty Thursday
I was having oppie withdrawals :) Luckily I got to pop into one of my fave shops on Saturday after we enjoyed lunch out. Feels nice to getting back "to normal".
We have been invited to a garden wedding in October - I found this gorgeous dress for $10. The photo doesn't show the gorgeous fluttery sleeves and it has an asymetrical hem with a split. It's a little tight, so I'm hoping this is the motivation I need to kick start my weight loss again!
Earrings that are a match to the dress $4
Bag of embrodiery threads $2
Tupperware pick-a-dell $5. I can't resist Tupperware! LOL I have one already that I use for beetroot - it's fabulous! Will use this one for pineapple or asparagus.

Everyday Moments
We went out Tuesday night for Craig's work dinner. We went to Clay's favourite place - The Spotted Dog Tavern and saw this cute ceramic dog and Clay wanted a photo :)

Watercolour Class - Black Horse
This morning I set up my painting gear ready for my 2nd online water colour class with The Friday Gallery - Black Horse. After the first class I decided to invest in a set of tube / liquid paints instead of the pallette set and a larger sized watercolour pad. I also found this water brush cleaner / holder from Kmart for $2- it's fantastic!
I followed the instructions to draw the horse (I wasn't too impressed with my sketch and hoped the paint would improve it LOL).
I forget to take photos of the first few steps, but remembered and got pics till the end :)
The eye was completely wrong and the cheek was too dark, so once it dried I reworked both the cheek and eye, and am really pleased with the end result! Next week's class is an elephant - I can't wait!

Drawing Class - Girl
Tonight's online drawing class at Life With Paint was a girl. I wasn't too keen on this class as I prefer animals, nature or objects, but I thought I would give it a go and might learn some new techniques. My drawing looked very similar to the artist's, but I'm not keen on it LOL I'm looking forward to next week's class- turtles!
