Luganville - We wandered around the markets on the wharf - buying some souvenirs and watching the various entertainers.
There were people with iguanas, a snake and even some sea turtles in tubs! We took some pictures with an iguana - I was brave enough to hold it, but won't be sharing the pics - my face shows how uncertain I was LOL
We decided to go on a shore tour - Magical Water Music Experience - Ladies from the remote, northern tropical islands of Vanuatu, wade up to their waist. Dressed in the traditional dress of Gaua, including armbands and headwear made from flowers and leaves to perform the mystical water music unique to the isolated Banks and Torres region. Undoubtedly the highlight of any visit to Northern Vanuatu is witnessing the Gaua ladies performing their water music, an amazing array of percussion sound of unique water music fills the air. The glee of the women's shouts punctuates the magical occasion.
Next up were the men from the village to entertain us with singing and dancing.
There was also a kava ceremony - where they demonstrated how kava is made and explained the ceremony. We were offered a taste of the kava, but declined :)
After the kava ceremony we were entertained by a local band while we waited for our mini bus.
After we got back to the ship we had a late lunch and then headed up to the top deck to watch the acrobatic show "Synergy" - An amazing circus spectacular.
Dinner at the Waterfront, then listening to live music in Connections bar before watching the feature artist "Murray Raine" - It's Vegas on a string. Join Murray and his outrageous marionettes for a night of fabulous fun.
Sea Day 3 - A lazy day of meals, reading, napping and just relaxing on the deck at the Oasis. Dinner at the Waterfront, then listening to live music in Connections bar before watching the feature show "DISconnected".
