We started Clay's birthday celebrations early, by surprising him with his kayak last night when we picked him up from mum's :) He was a little confused at first, because he thought it was mum's kayak but once he realsied it was his, he was super excited:)
This morning he woke up to his room filled with balloons and his presents :) He opened his presents on our bed and then took a quick spin around the house on his new bike LOL
We dropped him off at mum's where she had tied his presents to string which he had to follow all around the house to find! Then she made him pancakes for breakfast. They played with his presents, did some crafts, did a little bit of school work, spoilt with a chicken burger and ice cream from Hungry Jacks for lunch and then headed to the river for a play in the sand and a walk.
Mum dropped him back home after we finished work and we had pizza for dinner and birthday cake with Nanny and Poppy. More presents to open from Nanny and Poppy and some video birthday calls.
It might not have been the birthday or party we had planned, but Clay had a fun filled day and was spoilt by all his favourite people. He went to bed exhausted and happy :)
