CONVID-19

4 April 2020, one for the history books.  We are all living this new craziness, we are all watching the news to hear the new rules / changes that will effect us, we are all aware of these uncertain times.  I didn't have the words or the mental energy to record this all down for future reference/memory, so I am sharing the details of the world wide CONVID-19 pandemic from a post that has been doing the rounds on Facebook today.

*Woolworths Bundaberg had petrol for $1.10/L.
*School cancelled for the foreseeable future. Last week was a pupil free week (except for essential workers/ children who can still attend). Some people have already had their kids out of school for the past 2 weeks. Holidays (QLD) started today. Kids will possibly be taught virtually on-line when term 2 starts.
*Goverment has asked where possible that people work from home.
*Panic buying sets in and we have no toilet paper, no disinfecting supplies, no paper towels, no laundry soap, no hand sanitizer. No pasta, rice, frozen veges. Shelves are bare. Manufacturers, distilleries and other businesses switch their lines to help make visors, masks, hand sanitizer and PPE.
* Self-distancing measures are mandatory, 1.5m from all persons who we dont live with. It's not set to end any time soon. They keep telling us we could live in 'Shutdown' for another few months. Tape on the floors at grocery stores and others to help distance shoppers (1.5m) from each other. Only one family member in for shopping to reduce risk. Hours are limited and open early for those with extra needs and 60+. Limited number of people inside stores. Non-essential stores and businesses mandated closed.
*Parks, pools, lookouts & entire cities locked up. Entire sports seasons cancelled including professional sports and Olympics postponed until 2021.
*Concerts, tours, festivals, entertainment events - cancelled. Weddings, family celebrations, holiday gatherings - cancelled. Funerals immediate family only and grave site should be less than 10 so not everyone can attend. No masses or services -churches are closed.
*Only 2 people can be together out in public spaces. Don't socialize with anyone outside of your home. Children's outdoor play parks are closed. We are to distance from each other. People wearing masks and gloves everywhere
*Shortage of masks, gowns, gloves for our front-line workers. Shortage of ventilators for the critically ill.
*States and Territory Governments close the border to all non-essential travel. QLD border won’t let anyone in unless a resident of QLD. Federal borders are shut too. Fines are established for breaking the rules which are legislated acts.
*Daily updates on new cases and deaths. Not a lot of coverage on recoveries or those sick with the virus.
*Government incentives to stay home and passed the Corona Stimulus package. Free child care for essential works. Unemployment rate high.

Current reports is that these restrictions could be in place till October - if this is the case we are headed for a economic collapse.

This is the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic, declared March 11th, 2020.
