Day 7 - We were up early and off to the city to go to the Melbourne Zoo. We enjoyed wandering around in the sunshine looking at all the animals. I fell in love with the baby elephant and orangutan :)
After the zoo we caught a tram back to Flinders station. From there we walked across the road to look at St Paul's Cathedral. I love the beautiful stained glass windows and intricate mosiac tiled floors. I would have liked to been there when the choir was singing.
There were 4 horses & carriages along the street offering rides around the city. The horses looked lovely with their head-dresses on and the carriages were gorgeous. Unfortunately we were on a schedule that day or else we would have gone for a carriage ride.
We caught the train back to camp, then headed out to have a BBQ at Jules & Doug's with some other Bundy friend Tish, Allan & kids. It was lovely to catch up - its been years since we were all together (got to meet their youngest who is 2). We had a wonderful night having a few drinks and chatting up. We were all having such a good time catching up that none of us remembered to take any photos :(
