Cruise Day 1-4 - At sea

Day 1 - Up at 4am and on the road by 4.30am. After a fast check-in we were on board and having lunch. Bit of an anxious time waiting for our bags to arrive at our room. We managed to make it to the "Sail Away" party this cruise :) The Pacific Cirque provided the entertainment, listened to a band and had cocktails - what a great way to start the cruise :) We sat in The Dome for a while and watched as we sailed down the river. Dinner, then the Welcome Aboard show. After a big day, we all went to bed early.

Day 2 - Woke to really rough seas, but I handled my sea-sickness better this cruise! Which was very surpising considering we were following a cyclone and had 6m swells! We went to a shore tour presentation in the Show Lounge - just to see what other places / tourist attractions we could see at the different ports. I went off to quilling - will share pics of all my cards & projects later :) We had lunch in the formal dining room - last cruise we always had breakfast & lunch in the buffet, so this was a nice change. After lunch we went for a look at the Cruise Fair - food, cocktails, towel / napkin folding, etc.

At dinner we ran into my friend Chris' parents who were also on the cruise - that was a nice surprise :) After dinner we listened to a band in the Bengal Bar. The shows were cancelled due to rough seas.

Day 3 - More craft classes - T-shirt painting and quilling. A lazy day just spent reading in The Dome and napping - just what we all needed after a few stressful and busy months. It was formal night - so we got dressed up and had professional photos taken (will share later).

After dinner we watched everyone do karaoke in the Bengal Bar, then went down to the Atrium to listen to a band.

Day 4 - Craig's birthday - how lucky was he to be on a cruise for his birthday?!?! After he opened cards and presents we went off to breakfast. After breakfast I went to needlepoint & quilling classes. We went to afternoon tea in the dining room - delicious warm scones, little finger sandwiches and pastries! After that we went to the Show Lounge and played bingo. A relaxing afternoon spent sitting in The Dome reading & chatting - we even had a go at the sports trivia! Most exciting - we got our first glimpse of New Zealand!!! Finished the night with a show "Do You Wanna Dance" in the Show Lounge.
