Day 5 - Auckland

We docked right in the middle of the city - pretty amazing! This is the view from the front of the boat...

In this port, we hired a car so we could have a look around. Our first stop was Mt Eden were we saw 360* views of Auckland and the surrounding areas. There was also a volcanic crater there.

From there we drove north to Whangaropoa to have a look around the beaches.

Back into Auckland to go to the Auckland Museum to have a look at the Maori cultural display and a Maori performance - it was amazing!! Craig was happy cause they performed the "Haka" - something he really wanted to see!

After that we still had time before we had to be back on board, so we drove out to Mission Beach and had fish & chips (wrapped in newspaper?!?!?) on the beach. Check out the size of that bird!! Mum should have know better than to feed the seagulls - she fed one and then about 30 came flying over! LOL

After we dropped the car off, we walked around the docks looking at all the old buildings.

The show was the Maori dancers that we saw at the museum, so we were happy to watch them again :)
